Good at setting up policies, but everything has to be done by post rather than email. A 2% surcharge is added to card payments, even debit cards. Staff are polite, and phones answered promptly.

Here is my experience when I wanted to claim - they only cover 30% of your total amount insured for diagnostics, so if you are insured for £4000, you can only claim £1200 on diagnosing the problem - read the small print! Seem obsessed with box rest as the solution for any injury, and aren't really interested in any diagnostics or treatments until a prolonged box rest period has been carried out (one month isn't enough), whether recommended by your vet or not. EVERY stage and ANY treatment, even basic stuff such as anti-inflammatories and steroids need a letter from your vet detailing why he/she is recommending the treatment, which costs the earth in vet admin fees (which you cant claim back of course!) to which you get either no reply in writing, or 'this will be considered as part of your claim'.

In summary my whole claim to date has been painful, time consuming and stressful. To date I have no idea how much of my claim will be accepted, but either way I will come back and update my review. Unfortunately at the moment every request to date has been met with obstruction, albeit politely!

With a phone call to the insurers my insurance was tailor made for my needs. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the quote very competitive. I have had the need to make a claim and found the whole process stress free and the insurance company always willing to help if I had any queries.
